DMV Change of Address

Connecticut law requires all registrant's and operator's to notify the DMV within 48 hours of any change of address.

General Statutes of Connecticut

Sec. 14-17a. Notice of change in registrant's address. (a) A person holding a certificate of registration for a motor vehicle issued by the commissioner shall notify the commissioner within forty-eight hours of any change of his address.
The notification shall include his old address and his new address.

Sec. 14-45. Notice of change in operator's address. (a) A person holding a license for the operation of a motor vehicle issued by the commissioner shall notify the commissioner within forty-eight hours of any change of his address. The notification shall include his old address and his new address.

Connecticut DMV Change of Address stickers can be obtained at the Berlin Police Headquarters - Records Division during normal business hours. The stickers are affixed to your driver's license, and note your current address. Connecticut DMV vehicle registration packets can also be obtained from our Records Division.
