Plan of Conservation and Development
The Plan of Conservation and Development (DRAFT dated 5/11/2023) is submitted to the Town Clerk and posted on the Town website of Berlin, CT in accordance with Connecticut General Statutes Section8-23 that requires posting a minimum of 35 days prior to the Planning and Zoning Commission (PZC) holding a public hearing prior to its adoption. The Planning and Zoning Commission Public Hearing on the Plan is anticipated to be held at the Commission's Regular meeting scheduled for June 15, 2023.
Plan of Conservation and Development - Draft dated May 11, 2023
The previous Draft dated 3/31/2023 was posted and submitted to the Town Council and Capital Region Council of Governments 65 days prior to the anticipated PZC public hearing. The Town Council held a public hearing with presentation of the Plan on April 18, 2023 after which the Town Council must endorse or reject the entire plan or sections thereof. If the Town Council rejects the Plan or a portion thereof, a 2/3 vote of the Planning and Zoning Commission will be required to adopt the Plan, or the section of the Plan that the Town Council rejected. If the Town Council endorses the Plan, a majority vote of the Planning and Zoning Commission is required.
The Planning and Zoning Commission plans to hold its public hearing on the Plan of Conservation and Development in June and to adopt the 2023 Plan prior to September 1, 2023.
